Built in Washington, for Washington family law.
Decree is built by a solo founder in Seattle for the solo and small-firm attorneys who handle most of Washington's family-law cases. The tools those firms rely on today were designed decades ago: a calculator here, an Excel sheet there, Word templates everywhere, and the same numbers hand-copied between all of them.
We think one focused product — the WSCSS calculation, the financials, the pattern forms, and the matter around them — beats a shelf of disconnected tools. Washington first, done properly, before anywhere else.
What we hold ourselves to
Official forms, not lookalikes
The Word files you download are the state's current pattern forms with your data filled in — not re-creations. When the state revises a form, we revise with it.
Penny-accurate calculations
Verified to the penny against every worked example in the official 2026 WSCSS instructions and cross-checked against the state's DCS worksheet calculator; tax estimates follow the IRS 1040-ES rate schedules.
Protected client data
SSNs and driver's license numbers receive application-level encryption, newly finalized document uploads receive per-file encryption, and matter access follows your firm's organization membership. Decree does not use matter data to train its own models.
